The best (and biggest) hot pastrami on rye sandwich I've eaten in years was here on the Sunday I took this photo. My girlfriend said it reminded her of a deli that her Dad used to take her to on Sundays in L.A. On this occasion, in November 2004, we had lunch at Katz's. Our waiter, a little man, admired her military-style hiking pants, which she'd bought the day before on 8th. He said he wanted to buy a pair like that for his sister. Both of them are in the background in this shot. What I like best about this is how the neon lights reflect the noisy chaos of the place...

The best (and biggest) hot pastrami on rye sandwich I've eaten in years was here on the Sunday I took this photo.
