Well I have been waiting for many months to find some sort of message on the sidewalks that would be suitable for our one-thousandth post, but it has never showed up. So I am going to go in a different direction and restart this photo blog.

It's always been about what I see as I walk the streets around here or watch my kids play soccer games or somehow otherwise glimpse views that give some sort of sense of what life in the big city is like.

So here we go. The big, beautiful West Coast sky, shot this past Saturday when I did a bad job photographing my daughter's soccer game...

A mistake, then, is post 1,000.
