Historic Site
Franklin Square in the Mission district.
This was the site of the first Major League Baseball game ever played on the west coast -- 50 years ago, between the Giants and the Dodgers. At that time, there was a stadium here called Seals Stadium. Today, there is a large soccer field with an artificial surface, but no stands for fans.
