Fallen fruit

This is just my backyard.

Apples

Well, this is hardly sidewalk art. But if you look through the other shots, this might make sense. My 11-year-old is wearing his special bracelet while he helps mix up some caramel apples for someone he loves...

What we found in Baja

My girlfriend and I gathered these shells on the beach south of La Paz at the very end of 2004. I had never been to Baja before; she had been there once, though not to this place.

Our shadows

My lover and I walking on The Embarcadero In San Francisco, looking at the Bay. After this, she sped up, heading for Pier 39, where we bought some caramel apples, her favorite treat...

Village building

Walking around Manhattan when we were there in November '04, this caught my eye.

Toys left by the storm

While visiting my girlfriend as she worked as a hurricane relief volunteer in East Biloxi late last November, 2005, I spotted this stuff in the mud near some wrecked homes.

Central Park North

The story behind this image is my girlfriend and I were walking along the street at the very top of Central Park in New York early last November, 2005, when we spotted a discarded campaign sign for Mayor Bloomberg's re-election bid, which was, of course, successful. It was a balmy day. We'd just visited a museum dedicated to holes in the head.
