The American Spirit

It's not for me to judge, but I wonder how much of our American spirit is stimulated by outside influences -- substances we smoke, swallow, inject or imbibe -- as compared to that portion we carry deep inside of ourselves. The entrepreneurial spirit is one of the greatest American chracteristics, IMHO; another is our inherent sense of fairness and social justice.

That those pushing products sell these values back to us with sophisticated marketing schemes is not my concern tonight. It is the shared values that, if we act on them, will continue to help change the world into a better place.

This tiny blog is where I have been pouring much of my visual story telling urge in recent months, but it appears to have such low traffic, and virtually no comments or emails, I am wondering whether I should discontinue it?

Feedback appreciated...that is, if anyone even sees this. According to Statracker, only 1 or 2 people bother to stop here on any given day...Is this work worth continuing or not? :-(

Summer Into Fall

I saw several good images on the sidewalk tonight, but instead of shooting them, I took these in my backyard, under our apple tree.

Have you...

...seen this person?

It's funny, I've been taking walks around here for eleven months and today is the first time I've seen anything remotely like cast-off or lost junk. Maybe this is a special date, one to remember.
